Overview

This position supports HireRight's total rewards compensation and benefits programming for India. This includes compensation benchmarking and salary structure design, benefits benchmarking, industry insights and legislation changes, and overall compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Compensation Benchmarking & Salary Structure Design
    • Lead formal and informal compensation benchmarking using industry surveys, peer networking, and internal analytics.
    • Design and maintain salary structures across job families and levels, ensuring competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business strategy.
    • Own the design of the local salary structure while ensuring it is optimized for income tax obligations while following applicable laws.
    • Create guidelines for the Recruitment team to make marked to market offers, in line with internal parity and desired market positioning.
  • Bonus programs & commissions
    • Own the implementation of bonus programs and commission plans which align with Company targets, while creating strong linkage between actual results and individual performance
    • Work with Finance and HR partners to ensure the programs are designed, modified, and updated based on need and in alignment with approved budgets
  • Benefits Program Management & Vendor Engagement
    • Own end-to-end management of health and non-health benefits programs, including wellness, insurance, and lifestyle benefits.
    • Work with procurement team, manage vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing performance management to ensure service quality and cost efficiency
  • Policy Design, Rollout & Change Management
    • Develop and implement policies for all rewards and benefits programs, ensuring clarity, fairness, and alignment with organizational goals
    • Drive policy rollout through structured communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management initiatives
  • Subject Matter Expertise & Industry Insights
    • Act as the internal SME on total rewards and benefits, advising leadership and HR teams on best practices and market trends
    • Conduct ongoing market intelligence through industry forums, peer connects, and benchmarking to inform program design and evolution
  • Compliance, Risk & Regulatory Management
    • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable statutory, regulatory, and labor law requirements
    • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to policy implementation, vendor operations, and employee entitlements
    • Stakeholder management skills
    • Experience with HR systems and tools for benchmarking, tracking, and reporting

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must be a self-starter who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize meeting deadlines
  • Competent in all MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PPT)
  • At least 7-10 years in Compensation & Benefits background preferably in global organizations
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and any equivalent MS Office applications
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong motivational skills, thrives in collaborative environments, and excels at working independently when required
  • Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to maintain accuracy and precision
  • Proven ability to lead projects across cross functional teams
  • Makes decisions related to own work with regular supervision and guidance.
