Overview

The main responsibility of the COE Sr. Accountant, Fixed Assets and Cash will be the proper accounting for fixed assets and cash for the Company’s global operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Job duties will include month end close processes for related accounts, including analysis and reconciliation. This new global COE position will also contribute to process improvements and other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and others to ensure the proper accounting for global cash payments and receipts.
  • Ensure global cash accounts are accurately reconciled monthly.
  • Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Facilities and others to ensure proper global recording of fixed assets acquisitions and disposals.
  • Calculate and record depreciation globally for fixed assets.
  • Maintain and update detailed schedules of global fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and impairment reviews.
  • Investigate potential obsolescence and recommend asset disposals.
  • Prepare related COE entries monthly.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to ensure forecast/plan accurately accounts for capitalization and depreciation/amortization.
  • Prepare schedules and conduct analysis to support month-over-month fluctuations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statement disclosures for fixed assets and cash.
  • Assist with providing support to external auditors.
  • Stay current on accounting standards (ASC 360) and assess their impact on reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Highly detail and deadline oriented
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Chartered Accountant certification
  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience highly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Experience with BlackLine (Recons, Tasks, Journals, Matching) preferred
  • Advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Pivots, V-lookups, graphs)
