Software Engineer

HireRight Technology is an IT team supporting HireRight, the premier global background screening provider. Combining in-house talent, personalized services, and proprietary technology, we ensure the best candidate experience possible. Our software serves hundreds of thousands of users daily and the platform processes 100+ business events per second. The company is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and we are currently in the process of building our Katowice based Tech Hub. You will have the opportunity to cooperate closely in an international environment with our IT colleagues in Tallinn as well as other locations across the world

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our team of professionals. In this role you will design, build, and deliver applications powering the platform used by our customers every day. You will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts and QA to support our applications and implement new features.

B2B or Full Time Employment

• Design and implement highly available and scalable complex mission-critical applications
• Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, quality engineers, analyze functional and non-functional/technical requirements
• Innovate, make decisions, foster new ideas and implement new functionality of core backend platform and systems that will power next generation services

• 3+ years of Java Object Oriented Programming experience
• Proven track record of working in a multi-tier, distributed architecture environment
• Strong ability in Object Oriented Programming and Design
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Experience with JSON and XML
• Experience using standard software development tools

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• A love for developing software and solving difficult problems with simple solutions
• Understanding of designing, developing, and supporting large scale systems
• Exposure to event based and asynchronous processing
• Experience with unit and integration test automation
• Good knowledge of SQL and hands on experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
• Excellent communication skills; problem solving mindset; collaborative approach, can-do attitude
